What will I pay at move-in?
Your checkout shows the rent due, the $25 administration fee, and any selected protection-plan charge. Promotions vary by unit. Review the payment schedule and regular monthly rate before paying.
Can I use my own insurance?
Yes. You can provide proof of qualifying insurance instead of choosing a SafeLease tenant protection plan. See the protection choices and monthly prices, and confirm your policy covers belongings stored at the facility.
How do I receive move-in instructions and access information?
After the required move-in tasks are complete and your unit is ready, Cubby sends your move-in instructions by email and text. Follow the instructions for your specific location and unit. If your instructions have not arrived, check your spam folder and call (706) 295-2531 for help.
Should I bring a lock?
Bring a high-quality disc lock. Its shielded shackle makes it harder to cut than a typical exposed-shackle padlock. Secure your unit whenever you leave.
What happens when I join a waitlist?
Your request goes to our local team for follow-up. Joining the waitlist does not complete a rental or guarantee that a unit is available. If you need storage soon, call (706) 295-2531 to discuss current options.
How do I ask about warehouse or office space?
Call (706) 295-2531 or request a warehouse or office quote. Our team will confirm availability, suitability, and lease terms.
How old do I need to be, and is ID verification required?
You must be at least 18 years old to sign the rental agreement. Complete the ID verification step in Cubby as part of your required move-in tasks. Call (706) 295-2531 if you need help.
What items and activities are prohibited?
Do not store food, perishables, explosives, highly flammable goods, hazardous materials, lithium batteries, or devices that charge lithium batteries. Living in a unit, keeping people or pets in it, operating a business from it, and using it as a workshop are prohibited. The lease also excludes irreplaceable items such as jewelry, heirlooms, artwork, and collectibles. Review your rental agreement for the full restrictions, and ask our team before storing anything you are unsure about.
What do I need to do before moving out?
The current self-storage rental agreement requires at least three days’ written notice of termination. Contact our team to arrange your move-out and confirm receipt of your written notice. Empty the unit, leave it broom-clean and in good condition, and remove your lock. Move-out rent is not prorated, and prepaid rent is not refunded for an early move-out. Vacate by the end of your paid rental period to avoid another month’s rent. Your signed agreement controls; warehouse and office lease terms may differ.
What size storage unit do I need?
The right size depends on what you're storing. Here's a helpful guide:
- Small (5x5 – 5x10): Boxes, small furniture, or seasonal items
- Medium (10x10 – 10x15): Contents of a 1–2 bedroom apartment
- Large (10x20 – 10x30): Multi-bedroom home or larger furniture
- Extra Large / Warehouse (10x30+): Business inventory, equipment, or major moves

Can I access my storage unit anytime?
Yes. All Bagby Storage locations offer 24/7 tenant access to your unit after move-in. You can come and go as needed using your personal gate code or door code.
What is the difference between Climate-Controlled and Drive-Up Storage?
Climate-controlled storage: Available at Old Lindale Road and Huffaker Road. Suitable for household goods, furniture, documents, electronics, and temperature-sensitive items.
Drive-up storage: Direct vehicle access for easier loading and unloading. Available at all five locations, including select climate-controlled units at Huffaker.
What security measures protect my belongings?
We take security seriously with:

Do you offer month-to-month rentals?
Self-storage units are available on month-to-month terms. Warehouse and office spaces may have different lease terms. Contact our team for details.
